What an amazing trip – 321 decisions to follow Jesus!
You are fully aware of the challenges that were facing me before I went and you responded financially and prayerfully.  God took all our efforts and He worked miraculously in Braila and surrounding towns.  Let me start by giving you some statistics following the 2 prison visits and 6 meal events:

·         293 of the 447 guests indicated a decision to take that step of faith to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.   That is a staggering 66%.
·         216 requested more information about what they heard
·         257 have signed up for the ‘Next Step’ meetings, which are the first stage of discipleship

·         A further 3 souls responded to the gospel invitation when I preached at a 65 strong Betel Church in Chiscani on Sunday morning and 25 more at the Combined Churches service Sunday evening.  An estimated 700 from the churches who joined together for this mission to their communities, attended the service on Sunday evening.  3 people professed that God had touched them in the form of healing as well, following prayer at this service in Holy Trinity Church in Braila – praise God for this.

·         In addition,  I had the opportunity to speak to 85 children on the Friday morning.  Although the school was officially closed for the day, the Principle invited the children in for an hours on the Friday morning of our visit in order to hear the gospel.  This is a school that the local church is working alongside.  A  few of the parents joined in as well which was great.  It is not allowed to make an invitation to Christ in the schools, but I was able to ‘preach the Gospel’ and pray for all present and bless them and their families.

One of the statistics John works out is ‘the cost for a soul’.  Taking in to account all the costs of this mission, where 865 people in total came and heard the Gospel, each of the 321 who chose to trust Christ cost £8.79.  I personally cannot think what better way there is to spend £10.00 –  to see a life changed.

“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matt 16:26).
