The Youth Supper in Slupsk

What a great day!

The day started early with John and I being driven by Thaddeus from Gdansk  to Slupsk.  After we checked into our hotel we met with the Pastor of the Pentecostal Church who were hosting this part of the mission.  What a great team!  They have been preparing long and hard for this 2-day mission.  All looked well for the events including a late change of restaurant venue - the original had major problems just a few days ago and a new venue was found - arguably the best in town; the Anna de Croy Restaurant.  The owner gave a special discounted rate for all our events.  This in itself was a ‘God send’.
So to the Youth Supper.  You will see from the pictures (click here) that the restaurant is actually built in a cellar; it’s an amazing place with a great atmosphere.  During the whole evening there was a sense of the presence of the Holy Spirit that filled the place.
The music was incredible; the testimony of a changed life was powerful and the food that followed was great.
I spoke a message that God had lain on my heart that evening and the Holy Spirit moved.  The response cards give an indication of what took place.
59 people present, 30 Christians, 29 non-believers:
12 people prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour; 16 requested more information, and 19 indicated that they would like to go to the ‘Next Step’ meeting.
This was a fantastic evening; a great response and a great team effort.  Thank you for all you support - you are part of the team.  As we rejoice together, let’s remember to give God all the glory for what He has done, for it is Him who saves souls, and let us praise Him for allowing us the privilege of joining with him in this incredible Kingdom advancing work.
Please pray for the 4 events tomorrow - Men’s Breakfast, Teachers Lunch, Ladies Coffee and Couples Dinner.
Please pray for our driver Thaddeus - he went sick with suspected laryngitis and went straight to bed following dropping us at the hotel this morning.  Please pray for God’s healing touch on him.  There has been a catalogue of difficulties here since the Church decided to take on this mission.  This is no surprise as we are pushing back the enemy’s territory.
Thank you and do feel free to email me.  It’s so uplifting to me and the Church here to know that you are partnering with us.
Bless you
Alan
